Morning/After School Program (M.A.P.)

Registration for the 2019-2020 MAP Before & After School Program begins on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 8:30 am.
The M.A.P. program provides participants with a quality program of well-supervised activities that encourages self-confidence, creativity, and a healthy lifestyle. To meet the physical, social, emotional, and recreational needs of children, M.A.P. will offer safe and fun recreational activities that promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles. This program will also provide a safe and secure environment, a relaxed atmosphere where participants can socialize, time for homework, and a tasty afternoon snack.
OUR TEAM: Our team is comprised of a collection of qualified, outgoing, fun individuals who share their passion for recreational and educational programs with the community they serve. They are a group of very caring individuals who work together to create the best programs for you and your community.
WHO IS THE M.A.P. PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR: The M.A.P. Program is designed for and ECLC Kindergarten students and Barrington Elementary School students who are in grades 1 – 4.
DATES OF PROGRAMS: The M.A.P. program operates on the 2019-2020 SAU #74 School Calendar. The program will run from the first day of school until the last day of school. Please see the parent information packet for dates that are exempt.
M.A.P. PROGRAM
Minimum: 70 participants
Maximum: 100 participants
When: Monday - Friday
Time: Morning Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.*
Afternoon Hours: 2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Location: Barrington Elementary School
*Daily schedule for ECLC Kindergarten Students
7:00 am - 8:15 am: Morning care at BES. Drop off will be on the side of the building to the right. When you pull into the parking lot you will see a grey door open and that is where the program is held.
8:15 am: Kindergarteners are walked out to the Yellow bus by a REC staff member who puts them on the bus every AM. The Kindergarteners will then be greeted by an ECLC staff member who will walk them to their classroom to begin their day.
8:15 am - 2:45 pm: School Day
2:45 pm: ECLC staff will put the aftercare children on the bus where they will be greeted by a Recreation staff member. The REC staff member will walk them into the cafeteria and get them settled into the M.A.P. program.
2:45 pm - 6:00 pm: Afternoon care at BES.
Deposit and Weekly Cost:
Mornings only: $30 per week
Afternoons only: $40 per week
Mornings & Afternoons: $55 per week
HOW TO REGISTER: Registration begins Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Town Gym located at 105 Ramsdell Lane. The Registration Packet must be complete & deposit given at time of registration. Register early, limited space available. Registration Packets can be picked up ahead of time at the Recreation Department or found at the link below. The Recreation Department is required to update participant information yearly. All current M.A.P. participants MUST re-register for the new year. We will not accept registration packets before Tuesday, February 13th so please do not drop off or mail packets early.
